Under these circumstances, Nyima Gon, a descendant of the Tubo royal family, led his followers to the Ali region. He was clever, knowing that establishing a foothold required finding the right location. After careful observation and consideration, he finally established the Guge Kingdom here.

The Guge Kingdom was situated along the essential southern route of the ancient Silk Road, much like today's transportation hub.
